Potential future

applications for NanoseenX

NanoseenX development

roadmap

NanoseenX device application examples

Example of device configuration

Cascade purification and desalination of water "step by step" - depending on the size of the impurities or ions - from the biggest to the smallest one.

NanoseenX nanomembranes can be arranged in cascades inside cylindrical device in order to utilise the force of gravity to carry out the filtration. Depending on the salinity of the water and / or the level of its contamination, from 2 to 20 nanomembranes are used, which are arranged in cascades.

Current NanoseenX technology applications

NanoseenX technology is currently in the development stage, where we test our nanomembranes in portable devices and various industrial applications.

We are working on making our technology more multifunctional to purify and/or desalinate different types of water and liquids. Our goal is to make it also more sustainable, efficient, durable, as well as more accessible

The Nanoseen scientists produce 30 types of NanoseenX nanomembranes. The shape, size and thickness of the nanomembranes are tailored according to the end customer's preferences, adapted to the particular function / process.

The innovative technology, called NanoseenX uses specially created nanomembranes which have the ability to trap impurities and salt in their pores during the gravitational filtration process, removing the need for the use of additional energy or pressure. Water pollutants and salt ions are retained at the membrane level in an extremely selective manner with very high efficiency. NanoseenX stands out from other technologies especially in the area of desalination, which is very expensive and therefore inaccessible to many communities.

NanoseenX are mixed matrix solution nanomembranes created from a combination of many types of nanomaterials (also obtained by the Nanoseen team) that are adapted to the water purification and desalination processes.. They contain regulated and controlled pores ranging in size. Additionaly, they have high quality, purity, homogeneity and strength.

What causes water scarcity and contamination?

Planet Earth has the same amount of fresh water as ever, but the human population has exploded, ultimately leaving the world's water resources in crisis. Nearly 70 percent of the world is covered by water, with just 2.5 percent of it being fresh, the rest being salt and ocean water. However, freshwater accounts for a very small fraction of all the water. Only 1 percent of our fresh water is readily available, and most of it is trapped in glaciers and snowfields. In fact, only 0.007 percent of the planet's water is available to supply around its 8 billion people.
